Epoxy flooring generally consists of two main components, namely resins and hardeners. The resin in the epoxy floor is the clear or transparent component and virtually odorless. The hardener, meanwhile, is darker and has a strong smell, similar to ammonia. When these two components are mixed during the application process, a chemical reaction occurs. It transforms epoxy flooring into hard, rigid, plastic-like material for a highly durable, waterproof, and chemical resistant finish.
